It's more forgiving, easier to maintain, and the diagnostics actually tell you what's wrong.
But if you're a hobbyist who does one hat a week? Neither of these machines is for you. Don't buy a Amaya because it's "the pro choice"—you'll pay $2,000 a year just to have it sit idle. Get a single-needle home machine, spend your money on good digitizing software, and come back to Melco when you actually have a production queue.
